Song #41 On My MP3 Player - Brickfield Nights by The Boys

Song #41 on my MP3 player is a late 1970's pop-punk tune from The Boys. 'Brickfield Nights' was released in 1978, and according to their website, it was their 'finest single'. The Boys disbanded in 1982, but reformed in 1999 and have been on tour and in the studio over the past decade.

I first heard this song on the Rhino DIY: Teenage Kicks - UK Pop I (1976 - 1979) CD. The Lost Soul of Rock and Roll is a huge fan of the Rhino DIY series, and I discovered many great bands thanks to those compilations. 'Brickfield Nights' is a great rock song about the good ol' days of hanging out with friends and chasing girls. This is the right kind of pick-me-up rock song you need when you require an energy boost. Enjoy!
